Chalet 1786 has everything you could want for a wonderful stay in the mountains: modern facilities in a warm Scandinavian décor, with the added bonus of a sunny terrace and a heated indoor swimming pool.
For your winter break, the Mont-Rond chairlift is just 500m away, while the Planay chairlift is 4km from the chalet. The shuttle bus, which stops 500m away, runs to Crest-Voland, Flumet / Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle and Les Saisies / Hauteluce, giving you access to the 192km of pistes in the Espace Diamant.
Outside the ski season, guests enjoy hiking, biking and relaxing around the Flumet swimming lake, a firm favourite with families. Other activities include paragliding and a range of water sports.
Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe has a supermarket, a grocery, a butcher's shop, a bakery and a number of sports equipment hire shops. You'll find more shops in Megève, 15km away.
About the property…
Chalet 1786 is a bright, modern, three-storey property that can accommodate up to 11 guests, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
The entrance is on the middle floor, where you'll find the first two double bedrooms, each with its own television and en-suite shower room. One of these bedrooms also has direct access to the terrace, and you will find separate WCs in the same hallway.
The rest of the floor is given over to the open-plan living area, which is bathed in light thanks to the many large picture windows. There are also doors to the terrace, which is furnished with a dining table and barbecue. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a dining table, and you will find a sofa in a cosy corner.
On the first floor, two double bedrooms each have a TV and an en-suite shower room. One has a private balcony, while the other connects to a children's room with a set of bunk beds and a pull-out bed. This floor also has a separate WC.
A study on a mezzanine overlooking the dining table is the perfect place for guests who wish to work during their stay.
The ground floor is home to the heated swimming pool, complete with shower and WC. Relax on the poolside sun loungers or step out onto the second terrace to enjoy the view. On the same floor, there is a very comfortable cinema room with a large screen and a SONOS sound system. There is also a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Guests with an electric vehicle can use the charging point outside the chalet.
About the area…
Nestling between the Mont-Blanc, Beaufortain and Aravis mountains, Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is a real natural and cultural gem. Discover the traditions of Savoie and the heritage of the Val d'Arly, including its wonderful Baroque churches, its culinary heritage, and its various AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) wines. Many of the region's farms welcome visitors to see how the delicious local cheeses are made.
In the shadow of Mont Vorès, which rises to an altitude of 2,070 m, the village of Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is linked to the other Val d'Arly resorts (Flumet / Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle, Crest-Voland / Cohennoz and Praz-sur-Arly) and to the Les Saisies / Hauteluce ski area, giving access to the 192km of pistes and 84 lifts in the Espace Diamant. Free shuttle buses run regularly between the valley and the mountain hamlets, offering a wide range of skiing and snowboarding activities.
Outside the ski season, Lac de Flumet is a popular place for families to swim and relax, with picnic tables, a children's play area, a skatepark and paddleboard lessons. It's also a great place to discover the Alpine countryside on foot or by bike, particularly along the renowned Route des Grandes Alpes.
Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is an idyllic destination at any time of year, easily accessible from Lyon and Geneva airports.

Chalet 1786 is a magnificent three-storey property designed to sleep 11 people in five bedrooms and five bathrooms. You're sure to appreciate the wood-panelled decor, with its clean yet cosy Scandinavian style.
On the central floor, the living area is a haven of elegance and comfort. Large picture windows opening onto a terrace flood it with natural light.
Here you'll find a modern, fully-equipped kitchen with a step to the large dining table. The lounge area is minimalist, but there's plenty of room to gather around the dining table or in the comfortable home cinema on the ground floor.
In fine weather, you can also get together around the second table on the terrace.
The first two bedrooms are on this floor, with three more on the upper floor. The fact that each of the four double bedrooms has its own shower room is a handy advantage.
Three of them also have televisions, and one even has a private balcony!
The final bedroom is a children's room for three with bunk beds and a pull-out bed – space can be fairly limited here if all beds are used. This room is connected to one of the double bedrooms, making it a great family suite.
But perhaps the highlight of Chalet 1786 is the wonderful heated indoor swimming pool on the ground floor, along with sunbeds and doors to another terrace. There's also a comfortable cinema room, complete with a SONOS sound system.
A practical laundry room includes a washing machine and tumble dryer.
For your convenience, there are separate WCs on each floor. Guests with an electric vehicle can charge it at the external socket.

“I recommend this accommodation”
This chalet is very well equipped and very comfortable. The kitchen accessories are perfect. The decor is very well done. The sofas and bedding are new and comfortable. The cinema room is very pleasant, the sound system is top-notch in every room. In a word, I recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for comfort close to the heart of the resort. The only downside is the access, which can be complicated if there is snow. Thank you to the concierge service, which is very friendly.
